Happytime is an app for finding things to do with the family. There is no sign-up, there are no accounts and there is no login. This policy explains the little data that is handled, why, and for how long.
1. Who is responsible
Happytime is a personal project. The data controller is an individual, not a company.

2. What data is handled
2.1 Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the app crashes unexpectedly on Android or iOS, a technical report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, for the sole purpose of finding and fixing the fault. That report contains:
- the device model and operating system version;
- the app version;
- the technical stack trace (which part of the code failed);
- a randomly generated installation identifier, which is not linked to any identity and does not reveal who you are.
Your name, your email, your location and any advertising identifier are not collected. The web version sends no crash reports, because Crashlytics does not exist for the browser.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the app working and fixing faults. Retention: Crashlytics' own retention period, currently 90 days.
2.2 Use of the Ideas section
To find out whether the "Ideas" section is useful to anybody, three events are recorded through Firebase Analytics, a Google service:
- that a recommendation was opened, and which one;
- how long it stayed open;
- whether the link to the shop was tapped.
Who did it is not recorded. These events carry the recommendation's identifier and its category, and nothing else: no name, no email, no location, no advertising identifier. They count what gets used, not who uses it, and no profile is built and no decision is made about any individual.
Google assigns each installation an identifier of its own so that events can be grouped. In the web version this measurement is switched off until there is a consent mechanism, because in a browser it would mean storing information on your device.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR article 6(1)(f)) in knowing whether a part of the app deserves to keep existing.
2.3 Your saved events
The events you star are stored on your device only. They are not sent to any server, they never leave the phone and they do not sync between devices. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, they are gone. For the same reason we cannot look them up, recover them, or connect them to you.
2.4 Technical connection data
To show you the events, the app downloads content from Firebase (Firestore and Hosting, Google services). As with any internet connection, the servers log technical data such as the IP address, which is needed to deliver the response and to prevent abuse. That content is public: it is served the same to everyone and does not depend on who asks for it.
2.5 What we do not do
- We do not build profiles or track people across apps or sites. The measurement described in 2.2 counts events, not people.
- We show Google AdSense advertising. Ads and their measurement load only if you agree: decline and nothing is downloaded from Google and no advertising cookie is stored. We use no advertising identifiers of our own and build no profiles.
- We do not sell or pass data to third parties.
- We do not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
- There are no accounts, so there are no passwords or profiles to protect.
3. Processors and transfers
We use Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited) for hosting, the database and crash reports. The database is configured in the europe-west (eur3) region, inside the European Union. Certain Google processing may involve international transfers, covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
4. Children
Happytime is built for adults to find things to do with children. It is not aimed at children as users, it asks them for nothing, and it handles no children's data: the app does not know who is using it or whether there are children in the family. The ages shown on events describe the activity, not whoever is reading about it.
5. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to contacto@happytime-bcn.es.
You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency if you believe this processing does not comply with the law.
6. Changes to this policy
If the processing changes — if user accounts or advertising are added in future, for instance — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
